Advancing sustainable development.
Empowering clean energy.
The project contributes to sustainable development by:
- Supporting Peru in improving its hydrocarbon trade balance by reducing oil imports used for electricity generation.
- Displace costly power generation from heavy fuel oil, diesel, coal, and natural gas, while simultaneously reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
- Hiring local labor for operations and management.
- Purifying and cleaning irrigation water.
- Facilitating access to electricity for local users.
