Honaine is a water desalination plant of 7 M ft3 per day capacity located in Taffsout, Algeria. AEC is the Algerian agency in charge of delivering Algeria’s large-scale desalination program. Atlantica owns 25.5% of the asset.
The technology used in the Honaine plant consists of desalination using membranes by reverse osmosis.

Empowering communities.
Honaine provides desalinated water to approximately 1 million people annually. We support the local community by donating school supply kits and bags to schoolchildren, as well as food baskets to families in need.
